Today, Goat was spotted at Granville Island in Vancouver.
In Edible BC to be exact. Eating my Apple Curry Chutney asking,
"Is that fresh Ginger, or did you kick me!"
"It is fresh ginger" the lady replied, "but I kicked you too. Now get out".
We got the call, and headed out. I packed up the kids - yes, today I had two, but just for a few hours.
A little aqua bus ride, and we were there. Granville Island.
You'll be happy to know, I did not get one of these big boys stuck in my hair this time. Yes, it really did happen and no, I don't want to get into it with you right now. Like a deleted scene from Hitchcocks The Birds. Not pretty, and hard to believe what you are seeing, is actually happening.
I'm a Guest Blogger over at HGTV.CA today. They loved Lily's birthday party so much, they are running it for their readers. It really was cute as ever!! Have a peek if you missed it last fall.

Wow, I want to take the aquabus to Granville Island!
I think if I got a seagull stuck in my hair, it would make me afraid of birds forever. Holy moly!
I remember the shots from Lily's birthday in the fall, but I'm gonna take another peek because I liked them so much! xo Gigi
Your photos bring back fond memories of my honeymoon in Vancouver, Victoria and Whistler. Those little water taxis are so cute!
Do you happen to sell your Missing Goat goodies in the US?
Yummy, Heather! Good luck with the products, and don't let that lesser black-back get it's beak into them.
Good to see you've got a slot as country blogger! The apple curry chutney packaging is lovely, and ever since you first posted photos of that famous ladybird birthday party we've all been moping disconsolately about the Internet failing to keep up with its inventive beauty.
Good Luck with your product! Carla
Oh my favourite spot is that Granville Island...must go soon.
I remember this party of yours...it was charming...congratulations and off to revisit it. xoxoxo
EEEEEEEP!! Talk about famous..! Congratulations, dearest!! All of this is so well-deserved (and I'm NOT referring to the seagull incident, of course!) The goat, the market, the guest post..! You rock star, you.
Off to check out the link to HGTV!! (And if this all leads to you hanging out with Sarah Richardson, I'm just going to die. DIE.)
xoxoox,

I LoVe the pictures in this post!!!! And what an adorable birthday party! You have inspired me to make those pom poms ... I bet they will make me HaPpY too and then I will have to do a post about it!
Congrats on your Granville Island goat spotting! Hopefully lots and lots of people will find your goat and buy some yummy apple-curry chutney!! I haven't had a sea gull in my hair, but I've been mildly freaked out by a large "murder of crows" careening through the air, swooping at and chasing one another, squacking up a concert just above my house. Definitely had me wondering if the end of the world was upon us! But I'm an optimist at heart and decided to ignore Hitchcock-ian scare-mongering! ;-) Love your photos, as usual... and now I'm off to check out your HGTV post. FUN!

So I guess all that leaves me wondering pray tell how some watering mouth South of the border can get some???
My chicken salad is rather boldly demanding some.
Well...way to go Heather!!!... CONGRATULATIONS ...I totally love your packaging...Hmmmm...Do you have an Abbotsford outlet yet?...
Your seagull story is all too familiar...when the kids were younger...we had a Granville Island picnic, outside with those famous, yummy fries on the menu. Poor Lizzy was only 14 at the time {and keep in mind, there was a little PMS happening that day as well}...Bill handed her a tray of the crispiest fries you ever did see, and a kamikaze seagull dove in and took not just one fry, but the entire tray! Needless to say, there were screams of fright, flailing arms, and a lot of tears...Oh my...not a good picnic. Your day looked to have turned out a bit better...Smile on Rosie
Have added you to my sidebar, so I might follow your adventures... If there is a different photo you would like me to use for your button, please let me know...C
Oh Heather...I'd love some of that apple curry chutney! Wish you distributed in the US!
Went over to see your birthday party...the pom poms are a fabulous idea and I wouldn't have had a clue how to make them. Sent the URL to my daughter-in-law who loves to do things like this.
Finally! Now I need to go and pick some up.
Happy mom's day, H!
How exciting for you! Now I can go get me some of this famous preserve I've been hearing about!
I can't even imagine a bird stuck in my hair. That must've been so scary!
Happy Mother's Day to you!
You are such an inspiration my friend. I love that you are at Granville Island - one place I miss all of the time being down here...
Have a marvelous Mother's Day~
