Well, it is hotter than Hades here, but I will have to pick wild plums to make jam then check my white peaches to see if they are ready to pick. I see the squirrels are picking them; they keep checking to see if they are ripe too. The blackberries are finished in this heat and so is my vegetable garden. I have huge watermelons, but don't know what to do with all those. Guess the chickens and geese will enjoy them.
Free sunday lunch at a place called 'The Mill' at Rode, followed by a quiet drink in the ancient courtyard of a recently refurbished inn called 'Archangel' in Frome - not far from Bath. Watched a plastic duck-race in the river at the Mill. Good weather, good, summer activities....
Been to the fleamarket, to a lovely portuguese restaurant and then for a walk in the wineyards with friends, followed up by more lovely food and wine - sometimes a girl needs to indulger herself ;)
I have just found your blog and I love it. Will just have to follow to see what you are up to with those blueberies! Cheers from Brisbane, Australia. Pam
Hi, dear Heather! First of all: I LOVE the first pic!!! Lovely!!! Well, my weekend was pretty nice! Little Aila, my hubbie and I rested a lot!! Movies, good meal and each other's company was the best we could have. It's pretty cold and wet here in the south of Brazil. Hope your weekend is awesome!! Kisses. Bela.
Happy dance...I am sooo filled with Joy about your blueberries...ok...I will see you in about 2 weeks time..off to the Okanagan for a week but when I get back...watch out fat blueberries ..the girls and I are coming for a picking. xo
That all sounds like a very lovely weekend... Buddah hey? Who would have guessed? Our weekend was a mix of packing, birthday celebrations, (mine) and getting ready for the start of the school term! Have a great week Flick
Instead of working in the garden - like I should have - the girls and I packed up and headed to grandma and grandpa's to brave the hot weather and the bugs down at the cabin. We managed to get a small amount of work done, mostly we played in the river and rode our ATV's.
Hello, hello. I did pretty much nothing. Moved slowly through the heat. Saw my partner off to Germany for a week and have been living on a diet of tomatoes and cherries.
You do know how to do summer well. I have finally come to the realization that I need to swim in lakes to stay sane, so that is what we have been up to. Makes it all worth while.
Hola Heather, so nice meeting the woman behind many magazine productions that I have loved always, specially the wonderful green house at country living mg. Your blog is wonderful!!! Greetings from Chile, maria cecilia

It has been hot and muggy here. I really didn't do much of anything. We have been enjoying a little much needed rain. Carla

Does it get any better than that? I love the colors in your daughter's photo!
That Buddha really looks happy!
Sounds like you had a perfect weekend. We celebrated our anniversary by being tourists in our own city.
