It's been busy lately. I had to work all day on a shoot last week, and got home at 7pm.
What did I see when I got home.. my daughter chasing her dad across the front lawn in the dark with a super soaker in the dark.
It was a chilly fall night, but that didn't stop them from..
.. pitching the tent and camping out in the backyard.
A bon fire was blazing as well.
They'd been roasting mini marshmallows on sticks, as we didn't have any regular sized ones.
Daddy had also hung a new rope swing for her that day.
It's a simple stick on a rope, but it's the best thing in the world as far as she is concerned.
Now, she can fly.
To her, he is the best dad ever. He's Mr.Fun.
They go for long walks in the woods, they sit in the boat
(which is on the front lawn right now) and have high sea adventures.
They pick apples and have picnics with the ducks.
Daddy also painted her toe nails a very fashionable purple that day.
Guess I've got some apple sauce to make now.

Oh he is the best Dad ever. I would have loved a Dad! I think I would have been a different person if I had had one. A-M xx
A perfect dad, clearly, patient and willing to create worlds within worlds. Do tell him he has the respect of the whole of Blogtopia.
Every little girl needs one of him! :)
Looks like a heavenly day for your darling girl!
Don't you just feel blessed by it all?
Thank you for sharing my friend,
xx
So sweet... Your little daughter is lucky to have such a wonderful dad.
Wonderful post! He sounds like an AMAZING father! My husband loves to make dens in the garden with the kids and get his (and their) hands dirty too. I love it, because it's all the things that I hate doing but that the children enjoy SO much - thank God for good fathers! xx
It must feel great coming home after a busy week and see your family so happy!
Lieve groet, Madelief

Camping, high sea adventures, flying, and purple toe nails--all without ever leaving home--now that's a good day and a really great dad!
This is my 1st visit to your blog, and it's lovely! I especially like your recent blog about your hubby and daughter! What a guy, and the memories he's creating for his little sweetie! You sound like a very busy lady! I love blueberries, I bought 60 lbs of wild Maine blueberries this summer! They are all in the freezer! I have the best blueberry pie recipe! I also enjoy making pies, I make them all year round, we have a "Pie Day" the day before our Thanksgiving in November, it's so much fun to get generations of family together for this event at my aunt's home. If you'd like to "visit" me in New England I love company and new Followers are always so exciting! I enjoyed my visit today!
