Today, we were invited to go for a walk - but not just an ordinary walk.
My dear friend Eleanor has four donkeys.
She asked if we might like to come by and take them for a walk.
Of course we would!
Yowsa! A bit of doubt, a bit of fear, a whole lot of excitement.
But, then, ...a whole lot of walking.
My daughter - the donkey whisperer.
She walked them all. Some of them twice.
And we left the donkeys promising to come back soon.
It was a good day.
We brought our cousin from Miami with us.
He found himself a John Deere tractor in action and got to drive it.
It was a very good day.
...did you see me walk that donkey..
...yes, but did you see me use the front loader of the tractor!
This is it, isn't it.
This is one of those days.
The day you remember always.
The day the two cousins held hands happily.
For the first time.

Sounds like such fun! Simple days like that are the best, aren't they? And those donkeys are so cute - I want one now! :)
Oh how fun!! Those donkeys are so cute and I bet they appreciated that walk, and the kiddos appreciated the time with such precious animals!

What a wonderful wonderful day :)
What a lovely day that must have been. I'm very fond of donkeys too.
Sounds like so much fun. Kids are so much happier enjoying simple days like this rather than at home watching tv or playing computer games. Very sweet memories for you and the kids.
I want a donkey too!

just sooo cute...we only have one but I would love a little herd of them. Did you know they live something like 40 years? We joke that we will be bringing ours to the assisted living home with us!
It sounds like a wonderful day!

That is so sweet! I love how the kiddos are holding hands. I've been trying to convince my husband we need a donkey (or two). They're so funny! I just posted about a donkey we hung out with on my blog, as well.
Oh my gosh, what an adorable day. Both the kids and the donkeys are wonderful, and that house is pretty gorgeous too!
