Gosh ~ it's hard to believe those dry looking sticks are going to produce lovely raspberries! Very interesting.

WOW! You will have a TON of raspberries and when they spread themselves, you'll be selling them! We have raspberries too and get more than we can use and there's always someone willing to take them off your hands...the hard part is getting them to come and PICK THEM!

I totally can relate. I do things like that all the time. I ordered 250 seedlings last spring, right after hubby had back surgery.

Happy planting!

Wow - 300 raspberry canes - that is A LOT. Mind you that will be a lot of raspberries on ice cream, and raspberry jam etc etc. My mouth is watering already. I hope your hands heal quickly.

Ah, raspberry canes. I bought a handfull from a woman about 7 years ago in CT...brought some to Maine with me when I moved here and they transplanted just fine! The hard work will be soo worth it in the end.
You have a lovely blog and I peeked around your site, The Missing Goat...cute and fun!
I'll be back...
