I was going to post about the lovely five days we had over at the cabin.
But yesterday a large truck come to the farm...
..delivering 1200 pounds of strawberries.
What does 1200 pounds of strawberries look like?
A freakin' hellish nightmare come true, that's what!
Plus side to this..hmm...I'm thinking...
oh, the Strawberry Black Pepper Jam will be ready next week!

Yum! I see delicious jams in your future :)
1200 pounds of anything sounds a bit hellish. Even if it is strawberries. The jam sounds amazing!
OMG! Just look at it as one berry at a time. Does that make it easier? lol
Ah yes, well you must be seeing red.
Best of luck with those berries. I should of had my sister's farm send you some, LOL.

hahhaahaa...that was funny!
Yummy looking berries! Are they local? I know in the Vancouver area we've had a pretty good strawberry season this year. We were just in Richmond and bought some yummy local ones :) Have fun jamming!
Oh yum!!! Glad it isn't me having to sort it all though x
Could be worse. You could be making Missing Goat Pate.
Perfection! Strawberry and pepper jam will be great :-)

WOW! I'm overwhelmed and I am sitting down with a cup of tea. Farming is very hard work. And making product from scratch is REALLY hard work. But oh so worth it....
sounds delish Heather.....and btw: I'm seriously thinking of switching to wordpress or typepad...blogger is seriously testing my patience too
Too funny! At first glance I thought you must have meant Strawberry Hill...then I read down the post. Strawberry Hell indeed! Hope you have a quick way to stem all of those strawberries!
