I know most of you live far far away in a wonderful land.
But...
Some of you live nearby.
So...Help!
The farm opens in a month and we need some lovely people to come work with us.
We need blueberry pickers.
While my girl is always eager to help..it lasts all of 4 minutes and the profits are low.
You can pick in the morning, you can pick in the evening.
We start Mid July and close end of August.

We need someone who likes to bake pies!
Every Saturday at the farm is blueberry pie day.
There is also lavender to be harvested...

..and lots of jam to be made.
This requires some experience in the canning department please.
Or, if you have always wanted to learn to make jam, you are super eager and would give it your very very best effort, then I would love to chat.
All jokes aside, I am serious!

Oh, for those who don't know, I live in South Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.

perhaps you might consider a pick your own option..
we have a farm here that does that for strawberries.

Those girls fell through? That sucks. I can help you from time to time, but you know how slow I am...I like to thoroughly examine each berry. ;)

Oh, so I won the prize as to guessing what the water droplets were? Does that mean I get a slice of pie?
I work m-th but i am around weekends. let me know what kind of help you are looking for and the type of time committment that is needed. I live in van but could get out there fairly easy if needed.
I can pick and make jam and cann but not bake.
Wish I did live closer to help you but Ontario is just a tad far away. Hope you find some willing people to hire.

Ah Heather..seems I have missed a few posts and was not aware of the excitement @ your home!...I will do my part but sadly it only involves buying your wonderful product in the stores!
But, should I get my act together and stock my new "Booth" in time I will .......chop!
I can send the princess down from the White House for a wake up call on where money comes from like we talked about Heather. Oh and I make strawberry jam all the time, just not sure about the commercial kitchen thing though. You know where we live if you want us :-)

If the economic fairy has been around just a tad more this first half of the year, I'd jump in the car & come up for the season.
I use to pick during the season forver ago in Maine (my high school years), so its makes it sadder for me. Good luck though.
Oh how I wish I was closer, that would ALL be up my alley. I even used to bake for a brownie and a cookie company! I have my own business and live in Maine, so sorry!
