We grow and dry our own certified organic lavender for our
Missing Goat Blueberry Lavender Jam.
This time each year, we have a chore...
...stripping off the blooms.
Thousands of stems of lavender..
...left naked.
But then we have this giant pile.
Stored in bags and used all year round.
My house smelled divine...till we cooked fish for dinner.

I can only imagine how good lavender jam must be. I can almost breathe in the aroma of the lavender from your post.
I love lavender! Beautifull pictures!
LOVE the scent of lavender! Even my dogs like it, they lay in the lavender patch all year long.

I love the lavender harvest here but it does make me very sleepy! Mind you, anything does these days! x
Ha ha ha!!! I love fresh lavender!
Wow I bet that smelled amazing, lavender is my favorite ever! We made maenads and grape jelly for first time this year after seeing yours.
Nothing like fresh lavender....is there anything to use the stems for.?
What is it about lavender that inspires such tranquility? I absolutely love its beauty and fragrance. Your jam sounds divine. My other favorite spread is lavender honey.
Thank you for sharing this simple, lovely post. I can smell the fragrance of the buds in your images.
Oooh, I would love to be able to grow lavender. Carla
I soooo love lavender.... managed to visit a lavender farm during our trip to Australia last June during winter....
If only you can pack the dried lavender and send to me in Sunny Singapore where lavender is none due to the weather.. :-)
Mmmm, I'll bet it smelled wonderful...the lavender, not the fish ;)
Just love the smell of a whole bunch of lavender. Our lavender farm here makes lavender ice-cream. I'm a fan now. Debi
